Weeks 1 & 2 - Catching Up!
I’m a little late to the party, but a new round of the Moda Blockheads is underway! If you’re not sure what that is or are wondering how to join in the fun, keep reading! Moda Blockheads is a free block of the week sew-along featuring a new block from a different Moda designer each week. The blocks are released every Wednesday and there will be a total of 28 designer blocks and 8 bonus blocks for a total of 36 blocks. Whew! Instructions for each block include options for size, color placement and even piecing methods.

My Plan for This Sew Along Is…
… not to have a plan! I’m really just going to wing it and enjoy the process letting one block lead to the next and so on. I’ll be sewing from my fabric stash and making one big scrap happy bunch of blocks that I hope will look great together when they’re assembled at the end. I might be sorry, but who knows! My only other hope is to stretch and learn and feel happy and connected to this wonderful creative community. That’s it.
Some Fun Along the Way
You might recognize some of my fabric collections in each block. If you do, leave a comment naming the collections. We’ll be doing a monthly giveaway raffle for everyone who gets them all correct! I’m also using some colorways that never actually made it to the bolt. Bonus if you can you spot those too! These first two blocks were fun to sew and I can’t wait to see what Laurie has in store for us next week! See you then. XO, Kate
