This sunflower was designed in the spring of 2022, as the war in Ukraine began. The sunflower is Ukraine's national flower, and at its center sits a single heart — a simple way of saying what so many of us felt: we're with you.
I launched it as a fundraiser for World Central Kitchen's Ukraine relief work, which delivered meals to Ukrainian people and refugees across eight countries. Then something wonderful happened. Quilters, makers, and friends everywhere wore their Sunflowers in My Heart and flooded social media with smiles under #SunflowersInMyHeart. Together, you raised more than $5,000 for WCK, making this the best-selling design on our site.
A big, golden bloom with a heart at its core, and a reminder that a lot of small kindnesses add up to something that matters. Now on a cap, for wearing that reminder wherever you go.
Sizing + Construction
Unstructured, 6-panel, low-profile fit with a 3 ⅛″ (7.6 cm) crown and 6 embroidered eyelets. Adjustable strap with metal buckle in an antique finish. One size fits most.
Materials
100% chino cotton twill. Green Camo colorway is 35% chino cotton twill, 65% polyester.
Care
Machine wash on a gentle cycle, cold water. Air dry. To protect the embroidery, do not tumble dry or iron directly on the design.
Returns + Exchanges
We gladly accept returns for items that are damaged, defective, misprinted, or differ from your order. In most cases, we'll send a brand-new replacement at no cost — and you keep the original. Email us with your order number and a photo of the item. Because each piece is made to order, we're unable to accept returns or exchanges for any other reason.
